family law

We undertake general family work, including cases involving children (both public and private), domestic violence and divorce (including ancillary relief). We accept instructions from both legally aided clients and private clients. We pride ourselves on acting with care and compassion for individuals at times when they are at their most vulnerable.

We have particular interest in undertaking family law cases for clients that may be compromised in their ability to act with clarity and determination without expert representation. We therefore regularly act in domestic violence cases to obtain injunctive relief on behalf of clients, or in cases where the mental capacity of a party to the proceedings is in question.

We have a growing reputation for acting in public law children proceedings for adults with mental health difficulties where a local authority may be contemplating bringing, or has issued, proceedings in respect of the welfare of a child. We are always keen to accept instructions in this challenging area of law.

We regularly represent clients in both the Family Proceedings Court and the County Court.
