Catrin Blake and Christopher Heery, both specialist mental health law solicitors at Butler & Co in Taunton, will be running non-stop for 24 hours in aid of Mind Taunton and West Somerset on 5 and 6 September 2015.
The eight strong team will be running the ‘Long Run in the Meadow’ course at Longrun Meadow in Taunton. The challenge involves taking in turns to run around the 2.5km course in the picturesque Somerset parkland without a break for 24 hours straight.
All money raised will go to Mind Taunton and West Somerset, who provide invaluable advice and support for anyone with mental health problems. Run by both staff and volunteers, the charity also works hard to promote good mental health and encourage a greater understanding of mental health issues.
Catrin says ‘Mind can be a lifeline for people with mental health issues, helping them to understand their condition and lend them support. They depend on donations and fundraising, which is why it is so important to get involved in fundraising events like this.’
The team wish to send a thank you to everyone who has donated so far. For further details on the event and to sponsor the team, please visit here.
